A different kind of conversation
You don't always need another answer.Sometimes you need a better question.
Smart, capable people get stuck too.
Not because they aren't working hard enough. Often, it's because they're too close to the situation to see it clearly.
Coaching creates space to step outside the noise, challenge assumptions, identify what actually matters and decide what comes next.
Gary works one-on-one with executives, founders, business owners and individuals navigating meaningful decisions and transitions.
Coaching for where you are — and where you're going.
Different circumstances bring people to coaching, but the underlying need is often remarkably similar: clarity about what matters and confidence about what comes next.

Executives
Leadership gets more complicated as the stakes get higher.
For executives and senior leaders navigating bigger roles, difficult decisions, competing priorities, leadership challenges and the pressure that comes with responsibility.
Executive Coaching →Founders & Business Owners
You don't need another person telling you how to run your business.
You may need someone who can help you step outside it long enough to think clearly.
Gary works with founders and business owners who want a thinking partner — not another advisor with a slide deck.

Individuals in Transition
Sometimes the next chapter isn't obvious.
Career changes. Life transitions. Questions of purpose, direction or priorities. Coaching provides structured, forward-looking support for people who know something needs to change but aren't yet sure what that change looks like.
Life Coaching →
Perspective changes what you can see.
The work
A conversation with somewhere to go.
Coaching is a partnership.
Gary's job isn't to hand you somebody else's answer. It's to ask the questions that help you understand your own situation more clearly, challenge assumptions that may be holding you back and keep you accountable to the decisions you make.
Your job is simpler — but not necessarily easy.
Show up. Be honest. Be willing to think differently. And do the work between conversations.
Sessions are one-on-one and delivered online. Most clients work with Gary through a three- or six-month engagement with two sessions each month and between-session support.
The goal is simple: leave every conversation thinking more clearly and knowing what you're going to do next.
01
Clarity first.
Most people arrive stuck on the wrong question.
Before solving anything, we work to understand what's actually going on and identify the question worth answering.
02
Action second.
Insight without action is just interesting.
Understanding matters. What you do with that understanding matters more. Every session should lead toward a concrete next step.
03
Accountability, always.
Good intentions don't create change.
You'll be asked what you said you would do. Not to judge the outcome, but to keep momentum moving in the direction you've chosen.

Your coach
Hi, I'm Gary.
I'm Gary Michael Lok, an ICF-member coach based in Metro Vancouver.
I work with executives, business owners and individuals who want space to think clearly about the decisions, opportunities and transitions in front of them.
My coach training is through Erickson Coaching International, an ICF-accredited coaching education provider, and I'm progressing toward the International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential.
My approach is direct, practical and human.
I'll ask difficult questions when they need to be asked. I'll challenge assumptions. I'll listen carefully. And I'll help you turn the conclusions you reach into actions you can actually take.

Why Stanley Park?
Sometimes clarity starts with stepping out of the noise.
The name Stanley Park Coaching is intentional.
For Gary, Stanley Park represents something that's increasingly difficult to find: perspective.
It's a place to walk. To think. To get some distance from everything competing for your attention.
That same idea sits at the heart of coaching.
The goal isn't to escape difficult decisions. It's to create enough space to see them clearly.
Ready to have a real conversation about where you want to go?

No pressure. No pitch.
We'll talk about what's happening, what you'd like to change and whether coaching is the right fit.
If we're a fit, we'll discuss what working together could look like. If we're not, Gary will tell you.
